Mr. Edwards -Live from Birmingham!
The man, the myth, the legend is sending his love to ALL faculty, staff and students of Warren Easton. I had the personal joy of talking with him this morning and anxiously await a post from him on this forum. If any would like to pass a message on to him please do so on this forum.

Dear Mr.Edwards, this is Christian Williams, and I am a senior in spirit at Warren Easton Senior High. I am currently completeing my senior year in St. Louis,MO at one of the top schools known as Hazelwood West (Wildcat Country). However, a Fighting Eagle I'll stay until my dying day. Me and my mom are just coming back from New Orleans. Our home is gone, all the first floor anyway. We were able to salvage a lot from upstairs, but that's all. We're starting from itch. Mr. Ed if I had a penny for every time I shed a tear, I'd be rich. It broke my heart for me to not only see my hometown in disorder, but also the place I used to call "home". We passed by the school, and she is more beautiful now than ever. P.S. Dont worry. I've been “governing myself accordingly.”

You have two years, then you have to come back, my son will be in 9th grade then and ready to carry on the Old Gold & Purple....I've had an exhusband (Kevin Washington), my now husband of 12 yrs. (Carl Warren), and my stepdaughter (Sherese Warren, honor student, and girls basketball team) all Eagles, I can't stop now...Take your breather, but come back!!!!

Hey Mr. Ed!!!! My name is Kristen Cross and I miss u and the whole Easton faculty. U all have made a difference in my life. I have been there since I was a Freshman. I am now a Senior. How are you doing Mr. Edwards? This is Joshua Guss, I'm happy that you that did not die from hurricane Katrina, and that your safe. please come back To New Orleans LA. Also please come back to Warren Easton High School. If the School Board ask you to be a principal at another school say NO I want to go back to Warren Easton. Even doe I'm going to be graduating from a stupid school out here in Baton Rouge LA. But I have a brother that wants to go to Warren Easton High School and it will not be Warren Easton High School Without you. In New Orleans, at my church that I've been going to for years, I've seen Mrs. P. Walker. Mrs.Walker Said that she been going there for years too, but I've never seen her and she never seen me.

It brings such a GREAT smile on my face, to see Warren Easton still under your leadership still shinning after such a tradgic storm. I continuing my high school years and saw you entering into your principal posistion. Oh how I remember how you loved your sports.
Unfortunately Katrina took me away from New Orleans. But it will NEVER be able to take New Orleans, Gregory Junior High, or Warren Easton away from me.
I did so much more than develop a great academic education at Warren Easton. I was taught lessons for life, giving additional family in the staff and students. For you all I have great love. Especially Mrs. Maumus, which was my english teacher. Mrs. Roberts, Mrs. Jenkins, and soooo many I'm just sorry that the years have made me forget. But you all are in my heart. Class of 2000 Nicole Russell

Im so happy I saw you on, I was actually just searching for something that would let me know Warren Easton Fighting Eagles, are still fighting and are standing strong after the storm.
So you cant imagine just how great of a smile and how warm my heart feels to have ran across you.
